My buddy got a good deal on a ram hd clutch. He cant afford a new flywheel so I've search and cant find a straight answer can someone tell me if he needs to get the flywheel balanced and does the clutch have to be bolted on while its balanced.

Its a good idea to balance each individually, then together as an assembly. I think this is what Textralia does. You can reuse the stock flywheel, just get it surfaced. Textralia clutches used come with a new OEM flywheel.
