Default Rear end question

My family has a 1998 Ford F-150, its a 6 cylinder with 65k miles and I was wondering if it has a Ford 9 inch and if it would be worth my time to do the swap out of it and put it in my car, thanks!

No, as it would require a lot of work to make it fit. You would have to add a torque arm mount and the rear would most likely be too long. Bob

I dought its a 9" I bet its a 8.8 and it would take alot to swap it into the fbody. It has been done before but I am not sure about the width and from what cars or trucks they used. Why would you take it out of the truck in the first place? I know its a 6cyl but did you wreck it? You could get a 9" or 12bolt for about the same price as what it would cost to put that one in your car.
