Default C5 M12 to Hybrid Interchange

I have a M12 out of a C5 sitting in the garage. The M12 has a broken main shaft that cracked just outside of the case from the diff case cracking. Other than the main shaft the M12 is believed to be unharmed. The M12 was rebuilt by Crashed94 on CF with deburred gears, steel shift forks etc etc.

I have since sold the C5 and thought about dropping a LQ9 in my Chevelle. What would be needed to swap the M12 over to mount to a standard bellhousing and drive shaft? Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,

You would need to change the front adapter plate on the tranny to a f-body adapte plate. The mainshaft might be a problem as corvettes have a double and triple cone syncro assemblys. You would most likely have to get an aftermarket mainshaft, as the blocker ring assembly on the vette for 3rd and 4th gear is smaller in diamater than that of an f-body. However it is possible.
