Default clutch pedal going soft?

my clutch pedal is going soft and doesnt actually engage until about halfways.
just last week everything was good and the pedal felt strong and sturdy. does this have to do something with the clutch itself or something else to do with the pedal?
i havent been to the track in a few weeks and i havent been to harsh lately.
any help??

I go through that every winter. I remember reading a thread that explained why it does that. I just said the hell with it. I've had the TA for 3 winters and it does it every time. Of course we don't have much of a winter here in Texas, so I only have that problem on some mornings.

It could either be your pressure plate going south on ya or a hydraulic problem. Maybe a leak. Check your reservoir. You'd be better off to put this in the manual trans section though.

I sent one to the manual trans section as well. Umm, I'm leaning towards a bad clutch.

Try bleeding it first off and see what happens.

i thought it might be the clutch, but i'll check out the other stuff first.
where can i get a cheap clutch and about how much will it run me?
i might check out ebay but im skeptical about that, btw its an 02 so it has the z06 clutch setup.

and thank you for the input

yup, every winter for me. For me the pedal will feel ok when I jump back into the car after it has warmed up. I remember reading that it happened to others during the cold or cool weather, but I'd like to hear from others as well.

My pedal does the same damn thing. It has averaged around 40 here as a high and 20's sometimes teens in the nights. It gets a bit better with driving. If it gets worse with driving you might want to reroute the line to the slave cylinder to behind the heat shielding near the bellhousing. Or you could just have gotten air in your lines. Tried bleeding it yet?
