Default Exeedy clutch owners...??

I have a 01 Z06 and need to replace the stock clutch. The car is far from being stock and I only intend to raise the HP level of the car. Right now the car dynoed 540 HP, once I upgrade my charger and boost levels I will be well over 600 +. I want to buy a Exedy clutch for my car but I have heard that they dont last and I should go with somethig different.
From what I was told about the Exeedy clutches is that they will feel and act like a stock clutch where they wont slip to all hell, but they will hold up to some serious HP and last. I would like to know what you guys think, and is it worth the $1200 for this clutch.

I would be getting it through my mechanic who can get for that price, and also sell it to me for that.

$1200 is the single disk. You would need the twin.
BTW for 1200 you can get a mcleod twin.
