Question IS this normal ?

when you are banging the gears ( meaning getting on it) when you shift into 2nd ,3rd that your rpms are around 4-5k ? Sorry i am new with the manual trannys .

Just checking beause when i test drove other manuals like the srt-4 they didnt do that... why is that ?

I think it's a little sarcasm.lol If I understand your question right, your asking why the revs go back down to 4-5k when shifting to the next gear right? That would be because of the gear ratios. I'm sure the srt-4 is geared way higher b/c it's a 4 cyl. I believe my eclipse has a 4.xx or something around there. So the revs aren't going to dip as much.

Yeah i was just curious because they are pretty high when i shift to the next gear.
