Default I've searched...few questions (clutch master/slave cylinders)...

How many different GM master cylinders are there? Also, what's the difference between LS1 vs. LS6 equipment?

From what I understand...there is no difference between the 98-00 and 01-02 clutch master cylinders, but there is a difference between the 98-00 and later slave cylinders.

Is there any benefit to replacing the master cylinder with the 01-02 stuff?

Feel free to chime in ....also correct me if I'm wrong about anything.

i dont know the differance, but in 01 they changed both from what ive read.
even if you get a part number for a 98 master or slave, GM changed that number to the curent 01+ masters and slaves. so all you can buy now a days is the 01+

I know, but I'm wondering if there is a difference in the 98-00 and 01-02 masters. I already have the part so I might as well swap it in too...maybe I should have saved my $$.

Anyone know what the difference is between the slave cylinders?
