I have a 02' Z and last night when i was driving down the road i shifted into 3rd gear and after a few seconds it just popped out of gear. Then i put it back into the gear and it popped out again. It would grind a little bit and then all of a sudden pop out . Today when i was on my way to work it did it again when i was accelerating onto the highway. My friends had a few suggestions on what it was and it was either the clutch, throwout bearing or synchros in the tranny. So guys i need help cause i want to get a clutch because mine is slipping and i dont wanna drop the tranny twice if you know what i mean so i am open to any and all suggestions on what it could be. You were right when you said synchros and maybe some keys. Sounds like you need trans! FLT www.finishlinetrans.com .He builds a couple different levels of this unit. Chuck does excelent work and I really recommend his shop.
