Default about to pull the trigger.... last minute question

I'm buying the ls7 clutch/pressure plate as well as the ls2 flywheel.... My question is... with my car being a '99, I know I have to update the hydraulics... do I need to only get the new slave cylinder or do I need to do a new master as well?

No one has given a good reason to need to upgrade the master. I'm in the same boat as you with a 2000 and I judged by mileage. My car has just under 20k miles so I chose not to replace it, I haven't put everything back together yet so I can't let you know if my decision was good or not but the LS7 isn't some big heavy *** clutch or anything either. Good luck, keep us up to date.

Oh. Sorry I didn't see you had a Vette. I am not sure if you have to do this.
