is much power lost with a heavy clutch?

Default is much power lost with a heavy clutch?

someone had said something to me about this before and the ls7 assebly is pretty damn heavy compaired to my old clutch. just wondering if there are really any gains wtih an alum flywheel?

Well I got my LS7 clutch today, and noticed it is quite a bit more heavier. But it seems that there is alot more surface area, so I'll probably lose HP, but gain my car being able to handle the power.

yeah, my car actually holds high rpms now.

A heavier Clutch will help you at the track at the launch.
It could be a slight henderance on a road coarse , because it would Take a bit longer to wind up.
Think of it as A fly wheel. It will hold an RPM , but is harder to get there.
So really you dont' loose HP, It just takes a bit longer to show said hp
