Default Time to flush. Recommendations on fluid please.

Clutch pedal is starting to stick and fluid is turning grey since I got the new headers. What does everyone recommend to use? It says Dot3 but Im hoping there is something that works a little bit better.
Also does anyone have alink on the "How To" to flush the master?

You can look here for some help as to which fluid. I picked up some valvoline (sp?) syntech earlier in the week then saw this thread and my go back to good ol' GM Dex III ATF as most people say it works pretty well. I am new to the M6 world and was a bit skeptical on using ATF when it says to use DOT 3 but I trust a lot of the people on here so I will probably use what they say to. As for actually flushing it, I think someone explains it in the thread as well.

Formula, I wouldn't recommend the Valvoline stuff.

I ran it for a bit and the tranny shifted like ****. Gears grinding and notchy feeling. Went with Mobil Syn. and back to normal.

I think you are asking about brake fluid to bleed your clutch. Use Valvoline Synthetic DOT 3/4, it's good for 500 degrees +.

Is the reservoir at the top of the drivers side not where you refill the clutch fluid? Is that the tranny fluid? I am confused. Do the clutch and tranny fluid get filled at different points, which is which? Sorry for all the questions but I don't want to f anything up when I do this.

Whoh, yeah--different fluids and different fill points.

Trans takes ATF, Dexron III. Your choice. Do a search for what people like. There's a fill point on the side of the TRANS case which is used to refill the trans after draining. Fill to the point where it begins to overflow. Screw in the plug and call the job over.

The Clutch disengagement system is hydraulic and uses brake fluid, DoT 3 or 4. Do not use Dot 5.

The Clutch fluid is filled through the Clutch Master Cylinder under the hood. The system needs to be bled whenever a break in the hydraulic system is caused by part replacement such as a new slave or master.

There is a bleeder on the slave.

Buy a Repair Manual at AZ for pics and details to give you a birds eye view.

The hydraulic clutch fluid reservoir is on the drivers side firewall next to the master cylinder reservoir, use DOT 3/4 brake fluid. The transmission fill plug is on the drivers side of the transmission, use non synthetic Dexron 3 ATF fluid.

Im just looking for the master cylinder fluid. Its black and nasty and my clutch has been sticky when its warm outside. So dex4 would do the trick? Any way to keep the new fluid from turning black?

You use a brake fluid such as Valvoline Synthetic DOT 3/4 for the clutch fluid.

Is there a place where you can get the slave bleeder extender? Or do you have to make it yourself?
