480whp z06 H/C setup - need DTE brace with "bullet proof" tranny?
Greetings LS1 Lords,
I'll be completing my stage III heads/cam package on my 02 z06 in a few weeks. I anticipate making 450 - 480whp. I will be doing mostly roll on 45 mph starts and going to the track once a month for 5 runs down the strip.
I will be swapping out my oem MN12 for a Rockland Standard T56-025 "bullet proof race ready" tranny.

QUESTION: Will I need to brace this "bullet proof" tranny with a DTE brace for my 5 runs a month down the strip on 315 BFG DR's?
the Brace....needed on "bullet proof" tranny?

You dont have to have it but it certainly wouldnt hurt. I've got similar power to what you will have and no probs with out it. BTW, I've also attempted to use 315 BFG's with my car and didnt turn out very well. My 60 fts were close to the 2.0+ range.
