Theres is no question, it should have been shimmed when you installed it.

I shimmed my slave on the first spec 3 clutch....made the mistake of getting another one after it was toast...then got the adjustable master and was told that I would not need to shim...so I didnt. There was really no difference with the adjustments that I made. Should have gotten a different clutch the second time through though!

When I did the T56 swap there was no shim that I was aware of so its probably not in there. I had removed the slave when I sent it to get rebuilt and I didn't see a shim behind it either. Where does it go anyways?
