Tell me what this sounds like!! Well I'm interested in buying this guys 95 z28 and hes selling it for cheap! Its got the t56 in it and he says that its the clutch but I want to see what you guys think it is from his description. Let me know because the tranny is the only thing I want from this car... Its going in my projekt 
"i was racing my against my friend in his dakota rt leaving work today. after our run, we go around a turn and i powershift 1st to 2nd. right after i drop the clutch, the trans pops outa gear hard with a short loud metal on metal sound. now, when i mesh the clutch it doesn't roll forward. in 1st gear if i rev it after the clutch is engaged it makes a strage grinding sound and doesn't move. is it my clutch or my rear end?"

Need to hear it first hand could be the clutch or the rearend. Hard call not hearing it myself. But it will be evident once you hear where the noise is coming from.
