Default LS7 Clutch is wearing UNEVEN 427-550 HP

I PUT ONE OF THE FIRST LS7 Flywheel and Clutch assembly' In the country.......October 2005.
Took the engine OUT BECAUSE OF: (another venders failure to build their CRANKSHAFT (right) !!!!! 4500 Miles.

Flywheel and pressure plate, both has more wear on a 1/3 of the surface, LIKE THERE IS MORE PRESSURE, from the pressure plate on one side.

The other 2/3 still have the factory grooves. Anyone with an idea?

Can the Pressure Plate be adjusted, looks like there was something, in the GM Book on adjusting pressure plate?

Check RECALL #06523B (04/18/2006) Engine Clutch Flywheel Interface....Recall 5200 CORVETTES mostly ZO6s
"Reads" ....Equiped With 6.0L V8 (RPOLS2 - VIN U) OR 7.0L V8 (RPO LS7 - VIN E ENGINE AND SIX SPEED (RPO MM6 OR MZ6) MANUAL TRANSMISSION.

SAYS: WILL CAUSE PRE-MATURE WHERE.........THAT'S AN UNDER-STATEMENT

WHICH MEANS GM SCREWED UP AGAIN &&&&&&&&&&& MR GENE BEANS does not realy want to stand behind it?

Anymore info on the Recall? Does it affect new clutches being sold for F-Body?

No, it does not effect the clutches sold outside of the factory. The ones that are recalled are just the ones used to build the cars.

From what I read in the recall it was all the flywheels made at the same time as the corvettes with the vin numbers between 65115878 and 65121354. So there were some that did not make it in the vettes and got sold to customers.

wow that sucks. my spec 3 had some horrible uneven wear just like that. when i took my spec back out (one of many times) i threw it on my kitchen counter (solid granit, nice and flat) proceeded to measure the flywheel with a dial indicator and sure enough the flywheel wasn't machined flat. so maybe check and see if your flywheel is actually flat. that may cause it? and if it's not like my spec FW was...just get it machined....

that's my only advice. i sure as hell hope my LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel aren't fucked up!!!!!

I adjusted the The Pressure plate per GM Manual, put clutch back in and it seems to be holding 575 Hp just fine.

WARNING ANY ONE PURCHACING THIS CLUTCH for anything other than a 2006 ZO6.

GM will tell you to go Screw your Self. When it comes to (Warranty). That means all LS1 C5 Ls2 1997-2006 & ZO6 97-05........
You have to have a 2006 ZO6.

BUT WHY WOULD I BE BUYING A CLUTCH ASSEMBLY,
FOR A 2006 ZO6??????????????
