Textralia is here
Got my clutch in today.
My new rear is going to go in this weekend. Im thinking about going ahead and installing the clutch along with it. Ive never done an install though so im curious as to wether or not i will be able to pull it off myself.

I say give it a shot. I had never done one myself either last summer, and undertook a Textralia install after toasting my Spec 3 at the track (welded it to the flywheel). It really wasn't too bad, went at my own pace and probably took about 12 hours. Removing the pilot bearing if you are changing it is a bit of a PITA. Its a good thing to learn how to do, especially if you have mods and race a good bit, since you can figure it probably won't be the last time you need to do the clutch. Also be sure to use red locktite on the pressure plate to flywheel bolts.

ok..................im very unimformed as i have never done a clutch install. I guess i will be purchasing a pilot bearing. Is this the only other thing i will need for the install or are there any other suggestions. I want to do this once and only once.

If you bought a Textralia they should have a pilot bearing with the kit - its in a small box.
To make life easy you'll want to pick up a small bearing puller. I think it was northern tools that has a small 2 jaw one (shouldn't be much, probalby <$20). I bought a 3 jaw one from Harbor frieght but the jaws were too big to fit in the bearing. Had to use only 2 of the 3 and grind both down a ton. It worked, but no too pretty.

Make sure the threads are clean on them, and use loctite on the pressure plate bolts. Loctite blue at a minimum. DO NOT SKIP THE LOCTITE.
I would be very happy if I never saw another "my pressure plate bolts backed out on my Textralia clutch" thread, ever again.
