Default 4:10s ?

i just converted my a4 to an m6 i have 3:23s im wondering if i can just swap gears or do i have to get different carriers for 4:10s

you can fit 410s without any problems ... Why would switch an a4 to a m6?? all my friends are switching there m6s to autos.

unless you like rebuilding your 10bolt id stay with 342s or get a 12bolt/9"

your right 6 speed is more fun. I would never trade mine . but **** my friend put a 4000 stall and 373 gears in his a4 and it went 12.3 on et streets. I think a4 is better for drag racing.

the 10bolt is a weak unit and the 4.10s have a smaller pinion so they are more likely to break. not to mention the 410s will cause more stress to the rear end unless you shift like a grandma....and if thats true then why you would want 410s is beyond me.

ive got plenty of 11 sec passes on my stock 10 bolt with slicks and skinnies. but i dont beat on my car every day ... only on the track.

all of my friends tell me that i have a miracle rear end ... I just think it has a lot to do with not dumping the clutch. when i launch it I let the clutch out till it grabs and then i hold it there till the lights fall. Then i let it out the rest of the way . (it doesnt have that far to go from that point. maybe an inchor two.)
