Default Tranny problem

Ok, in the morning when the car is cold I can't hardly get the car into gear. I pump it a few times and it will finally go. Reverse? Only with a sledge hammer. Grinds into a few of the gears, especially fourth. Pedal feels ok for the most part. Once the fluid warms up it is ok but still stiff shifting. Getting on it the other day and after I let off, the pedal was stuck to the floor. Pumped it a few times and it let go finally. Done it once more since then but only on WOT driving. I'm thinking it's the damn fork not disengaging but someone else said it could be the slave cylinder. Any ideas?
Thanks,
T

I think you have your answer in front of you :the clutch is not releasing. You have hydraulic system issues. Although it is not a trans problem ,you will quickly create one by eating up the synchros ( if you havent done it already).
