HELP! bellhouseing torque

Default HELP! bellhouseing torque

looking for the torque specs for the bellhouseing to motor bolts. i cant find it in any of my manuals! trying to get this damn thing all put back together tonight.

I think it is 32#'s, but not positive. I'll post back in a a while, I have a manual in my shop. You do have to be very careful, because I have a couple wrung off.

I couldn't find them either. One guy in here said he just put a little extra "***" into those bolts.

I would also like to know the torque specs for the Bellhousing & the Tranny to Bellhousing torque specs AND should we use locktight on them.

Bad luck, I couldn't find the torque either. I did find transmission to bell housing and that was 26#'s and that bolt is larger than the bell housing to block bolt. I must have been thinking iron block at 32#'s. Sorry.

I just tighten mine - no locktight and no problems. I had the tranny in and out 3 or 4 times now and the bolts have always been tight.

The factory spec is 35 ft lbs
