Reverse popping out!?

Reverse popping out!? i searched but came up with nothing good now when i back up some times my trasnny pops out in reverse not in any other gear. now i understand there are no syncros and its very rare for reverse to go bad so im guessing the shifter needs to be adjusted or its hiting something??? do i need a write up to adjust it??? i know very little about transmissions but how to install clutches. can someone help me out its very annoying and embarasing

Reverse IS synchronized in all T56s. If your cause is a mis-adjusted shifter, it is proof why you should throw the stop bolts away. If you don't have an aftermarket shifter there are no adjustments and you will have to pull the trans & tear it down to find out why it is not engaging reverse.
