Default Clutch install prices??

About how much is a clutch install and do I NEED a new flywheel when I get my new clutch?? Car has 57000 mi. with stock tranny...

I would say low end being 200 and high end being 450.

Ok I was figuring around 200. $450 sounds rediculous though. What about a new flywheel...is it NEEDED??

dont even ask bout the stealership...I'm still debating doing mine or paying. Tho it would be nice to just pick it up when its all done. Now what bout motor mounts...man Im ready to get those swapped out too..?

You can just resurface yours, it will be fine. Unless you get some kind of wild clutch that requires it's own matched flywheel.

Well im prolly gonna be getting a SPEC Stage 3 and I dont think that needs a special flywheel.

Nope.. mine was resurfaced... cost me $35 bucks extra for the labor....

I jsut dont know how many times it can be resurfaced....

Anyone have any idea?

That depends on how much they take off the first time. You can only remove a certain amount before its no good.

I would spend the money on a nice billet steel flywheel. Something SFI approved.

I paid $750 for my clutch and flywheel install. Its a lot of work on a 4th gen.

Wow $750...I think thats rediculous since thats almost what it costs to have a cam swap done. Well I have decided on an LS7 clutch and an LS2 flywheel. Ive heard so many good things...

It only takes me around 3 hours to do a clutch swap in our 02 WS.6. Its not really that bad.

my buddy did mine in 1hr 15 minutes from the time we drove on the lift until driving off.

I just had a LS7 clutch, Ls2 flywheel, 01+ slave, 01+ master, drill mod and the labor cost me 250

Yeah I got mine off of spanktu aswell...great price!! So If I have an 01 SS, is there any need to get a new slave and master or would I just be wasting money??
