Default Tranny mount causing problems?

Could a loose/broken transmission have anything to do whatsoever with my car not fully engaging into second? I really don't want to spend the $$ on new synchros (that's what people here have been telling me it is). Once again there is a noise along with it. You can hear over the exhaust. It's a ringing/vibrating noise that sounds like change being rattled in a glass jar (or **** rattling inside my transmission, you decide). Has ANYONE had a problem like this?

If you had enough movement of the trans so that the lever was not getting into gear, yes the trans mount failure could be an issue. You gotta fix it anyway so do that first and cross the fingies.
