Default LS7 clutch and sticky tires, who's done it?

I'm curious if anyone has used the LS7 clutch with any type of tire yet? When I go to the track in the fall I want to know how much tire I can get away with using this clutch?

I have nitto dr's on the back and to tell you the truth I can't get the damn thing to chirp second no matter how fast I shift, although I think that's partly to blame on the flywheel.

Haven't launched it thought yet, I have an event coming up and I don't want to blow my diff before then.

Why do you want it to chirp? That means your breaking the tires loose. You WANT traction...duhhhhh!

Well yeah, but it kind of bothered me that I could get it to chirp with my old ls6 clutch but couldn't do it with my ls7 clutch, which should be a little grabbier, no? However, I remember when my friend did his upgraded clutch and aluminum flywheel to his integra and couldn't get the thing to chirp anymore, so I figure it's due to the less weight in the rotating assembly of the clutch/pp/flywheel. At least hopefully, and isn't the clutch not grabbing as hard as it should.

The things you and your friend are concerned about have nothing to do with making a car go faster. If your worried about chirping the tires and doing smoky burnouts, why bother with a good clutch? Get yourself a stock clutch, some cheap hard tires and have at it. You will chirp in every gear. None of that will make you faster...

It dosnt help him go any faster to have the clutch slipping and converting your horsepower into heat energy. Granted, breaking the tires loose wastes energy and wont be as fast as a clean shift, but a slipping clutch also absorbs energy. Id prefer to have a grabbier clutch and give myself the task of not spinning the wheels.

The ls7 flywheel is teh same as the ls2 flywheel. Same part number. It will work in an f-body. The o4 GTO probably needs the GTO ls2 flywheel, but im not certain.
