Default sloppy ****

my shifter **** will turn when i shift hard. it's slowly getting worse, and it's rather annoying. i have a pro 5.0 and the stock Hurst ****. i think its loose from taking the console apart a few times.

is the fix as simple enough as putting some loctite on the threads, or is it possible that the threads on either the **** or stick are losing their tightness from being screwed and unscrewed too much, and thus require me to get a new **** or upper part of the stick?
