car in neutral=rising rpms?

Default car in neutral=rising rpms?

i have a problem in my 01 camaro ss m6 but its a off and on thing...the rpms sometimes take a long time to drop when in nuetral and rolling..sumtimes they dont drop but rise instead?

Is the car stock? It sounds sounds like a tuning issue. Did you add anything to add more air? Cam,throttle body, MAF etc.

My car does something very similar. It does it when the A/C is on. The engaged compressor makes the motor want to rev higher to stay running. Is your A/c on when this happens?

It's a tuning issue. Do a search for "cruise control effect". Most of your questions will be answered.

Tuning issue. Decrease your idle airflow tables.
