Clutch setup for Gen 3 /TKO600 engine swap
I did a search & can't find what I need to know. Here is what I have:
2003 LM7 5.3 motor from an A4 truck.
LS1 flywheel (resurfaced) and used pressure plate & disk (came w/ flywheel, not planning to use).
GM bellhousing for 168 tooth flywheel w/ mount for external slave cylinder.
TKO600 GM version transmission- supposed to use any GM 1.125" x 26 spline clutch.
The LS1 disk is 1.125 x 26 spline. Obviously the plate bolts up to the flywheel OK.
My question is, since the LS1 uses a different clutch than the older style 26 spline setup, what should I use for this hybrid install?
1) Older style 11" pressure plate & disk? Does this bolt to the LS1 flywheel OK? or
2) LS1 clutch setup. In this case, can I use an older style throwout bearing with this plate? I know they are available in different heights.
I'm waiting for the tranny to arrive & may be able to figure some of this out when it does by using my parts on hand to see how it fits.
Once I determine the answer here, the next issue is which clutch to buy .
Thanks for any advice.

Trans fits surprisingly well. The shifter is about 1" + too far forward, but this can be overcome. The Toyota trans crosssmember has a bracket that can be flipped & redrilled & it bolts up to the car in the stock position.
I bought one of the "ebay" LS1 disks & am still working on the motor mounts while the drivetrain is in place before I tackle the remaining items such as throwout bearing etc.

Looks good. I'm not sure where it fits in my camaro, becuase it was originally an autp, but it seems to be pretty close to stock. Not too many ls1's with tko's. Hopefully I will get it out on the street today or tomorrow. Good luck with your project, if you run in to any problems with your tko shoot me a pm.

One big problem
Since my Toyolet has a 4.30:1 LSD, I needed the 6 tooth speedo drive gear and a 20 tooth driven gear for the TKO. Almost every website that talks about the 6 tooth gear tells you to buy the E3ZZ-17285-B black gear. This gear will not fit a TKO. Apparently it is for a T5. I finally found what I needed for about $16 at Hanlon Motorsports in Pennsylvania, phone #610-469-2695. They knew exactly what I needed and shipped it to me in 2 days.
