Default Pro 5.0 and WS6store stick.. questions !?

Okay i have a pro 5.0 shifter , with the ws6 short stick(stock Hurst **** leather ****) ...

My problem, ..The handle sits way to far over to the right,. when im in reverse it rubs against the right part of the console.. When im in 1st gear, it sits somewhere between 3rd and 5th on normal shifters...

My Question.. is there a fix for this ? Without me having to rig my own system on it. Like maybe a 3/8" thick Plate and longer screws to push over
the Handle.. Its an Awesome Stick, but not really something i wanna deal with, it has already made me miss 2nd-3rd shifts numerous amount of times at the track ha ha .

I know Other people are having this problem too, Is anybody else trying to fix it or are you guys just riding it out .. Any answers appreciated on this ...

Have you pulled your tranny out or swapped out the tranny mount? Thats the problem I had and all it was is that the tranny was bolted on to the very far right hole of the mount which was the energy suspension one. If its that, let go of the mount and with a bar or something long move the tranny a little over and bolt it up to the center hole. Just my .02

Thats about what I could tell. I have never had mine out. But I will be replacing the stock shifter for a pro 5.0. I can't wait.

I have the ws6 stick and 5.0 and like it. Mine does not rub, but does sit pretty close. The LSS is angled to the driver, so it does not have the issue, just get the LSS, or put some kind of washer/spase between the 5.0 base and the stick.

Mine did the same thing, but the guy i bought mine from also sent a 1/2" spacer block. I didnt put it in right away, but after i realized that reverse hit the council and 1st was where 3rd was like you said, it was kind of annoying and i put the spacer in. It still is a little farther to the right, but not as bad. It also rubs on the shifter base a little in 1st and 2nd, but nothing too major. I might take it out again try bending it, and maybe cut it a bit shorter too. Or i might mod the stock stick a bit by cutting it shorter and putting that on once.

May be a stupid question but..what side of the pro 5.0 do you guys have the stick mounted to?

I'm running the same set up, Pro 5.0 with the 6 inch stick from the ws6 store and I have no problems at all. I'm not running any kind of washers either.

I figured it had to be the drivers side, I just dont understand why some of them rub the console and some dont.

I guess I just got lucky in that aspect.

I have the UMI short stick on my pro 5.0 and I love it. The stick leans pretty far towards the left. I have never had any problems with it rubbing. and its only like $26.00 + shipping I think.

You can purchase the LSS here (it's Lou's page): http://www.angelfire.com/fl/lscamaross/.
Once your on his page click on the link "The Short Stick Shift Handle for M6 F-Bodies" and that takes you to the order page. Hope this helps.
