Default Wish Me luck With Textralia Install

Never did a clutch before. Been doing alot of reading up on it. Doesn't seem to bad. Figure me and my son did the H/C swap, we should be able to handle this. Waiting on a slave and pilot bearing before we dive in. Also trying to figure out what would be the best trans fluid to use. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Pressure Plate bolts - Use RED locktite, torque to 55 lbs.

Also, you can lightly sand down the paint on the surface to bare metal, where the PP bolts touch.

Clutch installs aren't bad at all. You'll love that clutch, it's amazing. Good luck!

I installed my Textralia a year ago on jackstands having never done a clutch before, and it went well. Only tough part of the install was finding a puller to get the old pilot bearing out. A year and 3k miles later all is still well. Like someone mentioned, be sure to use red locktite and the proper torque sequence on the pressure plate bolts. They seem to have a habit of backing out if this is not done.

good luck man... i had the motor out when I put mine in so it was a piece of cake, but it shouldnt be too bad. Just make sure, like they said, red loctite, and at least 55 ft. lbs. in the right sequence. Some people do up to 70 ft. lbs. just for a little extra piece of mind. But you'll love it, after about 3k miles on mine, it doesnt ever make any noise, never slips, and grabs right where the stock clutch did. Its been great.
