New slave for 02 z28? I have an ls7 clutch, pp, ls2 flywheel, and a pilot bearing waiting to go in my car. It is an 02 with 68k on it do I need a new slave as well hate to spend the extra $100. Also my fluid is black, I mity vac old out and put new in and it turns black again. Do I need to open bleeder valve to drain all fluid? I have fuel line over the line from master to the slave. Oh and I am using dot 4 synth. Thanks

Your call. It's $100 for a new one verses pulling the tranny if the one you have fails. Regarding the fluid, insulate your hydraulic lines from the exhaust system and that should help with the discoloring issue.
