Default should i change my own clutch

ok, ive done clutch jobs on many mustangs but they are all cable driven, ive never messed with hydraulic style clutches. my buddy has a lift i can use so that could make everything easier since ive done everything on my garage floor.

should i be scared of the hydraulics (changing the master, bleeding, and all that good stuff) or since im no genius, should i just take it somewhere for the satisfactory of knowing it was done right

If you're intelligent enough to do a clutch job once (even on a stang) and on the floor of a garage (like i do my clutch jobs) im sure you can do it on an F-Body....it's not that big of a deal. and there's a few good write-ups on www.installuniversity.com to really walk ya through it!

Do it yourself and save your money. It's time consuming, but at least you'll know its done right.

ya, i looked at installunivesity already, the only part that scares me is changing out the master and trying to bleed it properly

it's not hard, just like Chadtx01 said...it's just a little time consuming, but the satisfaction of doing it right and saving the $$ is worth it In my opinion!

bleeding it's not hard....there's a few different ways to go about it with these cars!

well i went and did my whole exhaust myslf, so as long as my buddy lets me use his lift, ill probably go for it.

ive done a clutch in my mustang 2 times, my buddies stang 2 times, and one in my autoshop back in high school, so hopefully ill be alright.

its just this hydraulic crap that makes me feel uncomfortable, not the clutch itself

The hydrolics arent anything major. The master was a pain to get to, but wasnt hard to replace and the slave is simple.

The worst part of it for me was bleeding the clutch. It was a pain and I started wondering if it was ever gonna catch.
