Angry drill mod on 02 SS?

Hi, I've been reading up on the drill mod and some people said that for 02 cars you didn't need to do it because chevy fixed the problem in the factory, but others said to do it anyway. I've noticed that when I'm really flooring it, sometimes it really is quite difficult to shift between the lower gears in my 02 SS. I've never NOT been able to shift, but sometimes it seems as if I'm pushing through a bucket of sand to quickly shift under WOT. Anyone have any tips/info to help me out?

Try bleeding it first, that will most likely fix it.

Huh, i did not know that about 02 cars. I was actually going to do the mod here soon. Do you have any paperwork to back up the claim?

None of the stock factory Fbodys had a "less" restrictive line. You would need to do the drill mod on all 98-02 fbodys.

I dunno I heard that the 01-02's didnt need it because of the update hydraulics? The reason to do the drill out is to keep the pedal from sticking at high rpm shifts right?

I read that there is a .062 restriction in the line that needs to be drilled out (the drill mod). So when I got my brand new master straight drom GM with the line on it I checked it and it had the .062 restriction in it. Made in '05. I drilled it out.

My 02 had the restriction. After the drill mod I noticed the pedal returned a tad quicker than before. Well worth the time and effort. Insulate your braided line going into the slave, bleed the hydraulic system with a whole bottle of DOT IV fluid so the whole system is nice and clean. I've never had a clutch problem following the above.
