Default Drill Mod without Dropping the Trans?

I assume its easier to do the drill mod, if the transmission is removed - but, can the mod be done without dropping the transmission?

thanks

Just follow the guide at installuniversity.com Dropping the trans would drastically over complicate things.

The only thing I would change would be their bleeding procedure. After bench bleeding the master just shove it back into the slave. (put an open ended wrench against the quick release fitting for extra leverage if needed) No need to open the bleeder on the slave. If this is bad to do for some reason let me know, but I can't see why it would be.

There is no reason whatsoever to drop the tranny to perform the drill mod.

Just pull the master cylinder out. No need to pull transmission.
