Default Is my clutch going?

When i rip the 1-2 shift I am now noticing a bit of fluctuation of rpms and it doesnt seem like all the power is getting to the ground. It isn't horrible and it still will kick the rearend sideways a bit. Is this my clutch going? MY buddy noticed this a while ago and told me but I didn't at the time, but i do notice it now so i think it got a bit worse. IT has no effect on daily driving though yet.

How much time would you say I got till it goes down the gutter and I need a new clutch?

Mines did the same for awhile and as soon as I bought a new clutch it stopped slipping or chatering or whatever you want to call it.

Sounds like one of the first signs that your clutch is on its way out.

I'd replace it with either the stock LS1 clutch, or the Corvette LS6 or LS7 clutch. The LS1 clutch is good if you're stock, if you've got some mods you probably would want to go with the LS6, and if you've got some serious mods then the LS7 is your best bet.

If you wanna see if your clutch is slipping, take it out somewhere, cruise up to about 45 and drop it in 6th. Give it some gas, and if the rpms jump without the car picking up speed, then its slipping.

I've noticed it happening to me too, it passes the low speed rpm test ie 40 mph 6th gear, 5th gear same deal.

A 1st gear climb is tough to tell due to lack of traction, it's the 2nd gear climb that alarms go off in my head that something is "off"...

Also see how bad it does this on a cooler day vs a hot day. I've only noticed it during 2nd gear rpm climbs that I have been doing city traffic and warm to really hot days(since I have the AC blasting though I haven't felt inclined to do any WOT runs).
