Default LS6 Clutch + 5.3L Truck + 18 Months + ...

LS6 Clutch + 5.3L Truck + 18 Months + hot lapping at track 26 times and 50 miles of heavy street use every week, when there is nice weather = !!!

So what do you think of the hot spots and the pressure plate fingers? I am replacing the LS6 clutch combo with the LS2/LS7 clutch combo! We will see how it goes! I also need a bigger garage!

Are you saying you hotlapped it 26 times? The same night? Wow... just wow.

Well I ran 26 time in a 6 hour block on the same day!

Here is a pic! I have a lot of clutch left! My clutch forward adjusted itself too far!

That means, on average, no more than 14 minutes elapsed between 26 runs. This would be a good way to burn up ANY clutch. An LS7 will not hold up any better. I'm not trying to be rude, but it's not the clutch. It's the driver.

This is an easy mistake to make. Why not just put another LS6 clutch in it, but let it cool between runs?

Yep it is my fault, I know that.

I got the LS7 clutch for just a little more $$ than a LS6 clutch would have cost me. I was also not sure yet what the LS6 clutch was going to look like when I took it out. I don't think I will run that many time again when I go back to the track. I was trying fot 13's really bad and it was the first time the truck had really been out since the swap! Peer Pressure!

I think that's a GREAT idea. Have fun with your unique (clutch-eating) truck. Looks like it would be a fun ride.
