Default slave cylinder replacement.

with the purchase of the new clutch set, says requires this new part number for the slave cylinder, now does this have to be done like, physically the original one i have will not work? or is it more of a recommendation?

it is suggested. It is also very simple. It mounts to the front of the transmission.

I'd recommend it simply due to the fact that you have to pull the transmission to get to it - since you'll already have it out for the clutch install, you really might as well. At the very least, you should replace the throwout bearing (which sits on the front of the slave cylinder).
