what do u need for a new clutch?

Default what do u need for a new clutch?

ok 02 z28 M6...

im gonna get an aftermarket clutch. do i have to buy a new flywheel or can i use the stock one? do u have to buy flywheels separately from clutches? i searched couldnt find anything really...

you need at the very least.. to have the stocker resurfaced.. I would only reccomend having it surfaced to .015 off the original specs.

Or what you can do (like what I did) Instead of having it resurfaced.. I bought a new one from Autozone. It was 189$ BUT they give you $130 core when you bring in your old one. It is an Original GM part that they give you. Mine had "GM" stamped on the back, as well as the GM part #.

Man I would just get the LS7 clutch with your power level. Its a direct bolt in, no shims. Drives like stock, but holds great. Very easy install & you can get a LS7 clutch kit that comes with a new flywheel. Then all you need is a new slave & pilot. That is as long as your stock master is ok. I'm still using my stock master & it works perfect with this clutch set-up. Very ideal for a daily driver.

Call Jon Reynolds @ TSP & tell him I sent you. He should be able to hook you up.

not trying to hijack thread but how much did it cost you (bigmike) for all of the ls7 clutch parts needed for the swap?

Well, I got a special deal, but did get my cousin one for I believe $675 shipped for the clutch kit, new slave & pilot.
