Default Part# Help For new clutch!

Having trouble engaging in any gears in my 2001 6speed ls1 T/A w/all bolt-on mods, cpu programmed by mti, and cam. All mods were put on at about 12000miles (it now has 52k)bought it new with only 3 miles. Car was not driven hard or taken to track but once with 2 launches. From 1-10 I'd say around a 6.

I've read on here that gm updated their slave cylinders from the 98-00 to 01-02. Someone posted somewhere on here that a way to check and see which one you got is to look under the resevior cap of the trans fluid box in the top right part under the hood. Mine says 00 on it. Does this mean I have the older model??

Anyway, i've called around and looked on the forums and came up with two #'s.

#15046288 which i originally thought it was an older slave model. Turned out Gm told me it was the updated one. Don't know if this is accurate (just spoke to one guy their).

#12656145 is the other number i've got. Some people on the forums said this was the updated one but the guy and the dealer said its changed to the number i first stated.

One last question. the master cylinder # i've got from places is #12570277.
Is this accurate or is their an updated one thats available.

Was probably gonna get the 450.00 LS6 clutch at MTI because i've heard it was an upgrade of the one I have. Is this true? How do I tell? Are their any numbers below the car I should be looking for??

Alright, i've been looking around and found that the master cylinder would be around 180 if i bought it (250-280 from the dealer). Autozone has the same part for $92. The only thing is the part number is different #LSC362.

Would it really matter for the master what it is along as its compatible with my ride??

The dealer was also gonna charge me around $175 for the slave but i could get it from fredbeans or someplace like that for around 100. Autozone has this part also for $92 with #LSC265.

Again, would it matter??

Kind of on a budget and pressed on time to fix my ride with about $750 to spare for all parts.

Does anyone have any experiance with slaves and master cylinders from Autozone/O'reilys, etc. ???? Is it the same as ordering just any oil filter for your car as long as its compatible with it??

Did anyone do this or am I the only one thats thought about it??

Need help please. Thx!
