Default need a steel flywheel-what kind?

recently started drag racing my 99 ss which has a mcleod single disc and aluminum flywheel and its boggin hard off the line so i think i need a steely. anyone know what kind will work with that clutch beings its impossible to get ahold of mcleod?

Just got myself a spec billtet steel. My buddy has one and it works great. Mine goes in this weekend

I got one from ams racing in shreveport. Good price, haven't installed it yet but it looks like a really nice piece.

are they universal? just want to make sure it will work with my mcleod single disc.

High-quality flywheels are Blanchard-ground to ensure that the friction surface is flat and parallel to the crankshaft flange. Lower quality flywheels are surfaced on a lathe. Ram flywheels are Blanchard-ground. I don’t know about Spec.
