Default Signs of air in hydraulics? Other problems?

We changed salve on clutch install. The line hung for a few days. When we bled it (mityvac), no air came out. It seems to drive fine. But I think its more difficult than it should be to shift like into first from a stop. Could this be related? My Dad is dead set that it doesnt need to be bled and that miraculously no air got into the system. I am also hearing the shifts more than I think I should, like just sitting at a drive through you can physiclly hear the gears changing I never noticed it before. I also am noticing a clunk after shifts. I have zero experience with manuals. Anyone have any ideas?

mity vac is the biggest joke, imho try and do the old method and get some nice fluid in there, the best way is to pressure bleed it if u can
