Please Listen To My T56 Sound Clips
I have an LT1/T56 in an '86 Volvo 740 wagon (see my other thread). Something is whining in the drivetrain (and I'm whining about it). Here are the sound files: (You may have to turn up your sound.)

As you can hear it doesn't make the noise all the time, only at light throttle (so keep the hammer down all the time right? ). When I let off the throttle or give it over ~25% throttle the noise goes away.
I also noticed something wierd when trying to make a left turn, it's almost like the drivetrain is disengaging. You can hear it at the begining of "T56 Gear Whine 3". It wasn't chirping the tires due to me dropping the clutch; it's something else. The rearend (Volvos have a Dana 30 like a Jeep) may be going as well.
Thanks,
Chris
