Default T5 trans

I know this is LS1 site but cant seem to get a straight answer in the V6 world. I checked the trans the other day and it has ATF in it. I heard of putting synchromesh, would that do any good or bad to it?

You don't need to spend the extra $$$ for synchromesh. There would be a downfall( other than a lighter wallet) if you drive this in the winter cold( below 40 degrees F) you will have stiffer shifts untill it warms up( Synchromesh has a higher viscosity). I would stick with a high quality ATF. If you gotta go synthetic , make it Mobil1 ATF.
