Default Spec 3+installed HELP getting rid of the chatter????

Installed spec 3+ kit about 1,000 miles ago. Since the install clutch has a very bad chattering problem (more in reverse). Wondering if any one has had the same problem or if this is normal with the spec clutchs. Car is lightly moded 367rwhp. I was told this is the clutch to have for the best street/track application. What do you think.

Most performance clutches will have some chatter no matter how much the manufacturer says they dont. My Spec stg 3 has chattered all 20k its been installed. However, it has diminshed almost all the way.

one of my friends has the spec 3+ installed in his 3000gt. it chattered pretty bad for the first thousand miles or so. but it has settled down. i guess these just have a long break in period. he was really hating it for a while, but now he loves it. ive driven his car alot and i really like it too. it will chatter a little bit if you slip it for a long time. but it really isnt that bad. for the most part it is chatter free and really easy to drive

mine has a spec 3+ and I just put down 6000mi . holds very strong and sees abuse every day at street. almost 30 track passes. It chatters bad and most performance clutches do. once u get used to it, u will rarely get it to chatter.

As said above, it's part of the clutch breaking in, but it's also part driving technique. As you modify the car you sometimes need to change your driving style a little around the mods...

You'll figure it out and then you'll LOVE the clutch

Like said above mine went away for the most part and you get use to it and will go away for the most part. But I have ran ET Streets on my car and MT Drag Radials so good luck.

My Spec 3+ has never chattered. It has been in the car for about 9000-10000 miles and it is still grabbing hard. It has atleast 100 track passes on it, so it has been a good clutch. When it starts slipping I am just going to replace the disc.

I don't have any problems with mine at all. It hooks great, and no chatter. It is a very good clutch, you just have to get used to it and it will settle down some.

My Spec stage 3 chattered really good for about 600 miles. It was getting better as the miles added up. Then I took it to the track and really broke it in. 6 launches droppin' the clutch at 5500 rpm's pickin' the front wheels up...and its broken in. No more chatter. lol By the way, it's in the car with a 12 bolt, 3.5" drive shaft, and 27x10.5 ET Streets. So I think it did pretty good.

its gonna chatter a little more so at first, youll learn to drive around it for the most part though. it does not slip like a stock clutch which alot of people dont relize . like stated above its a performance part its not gonna be 100% stock. get some more miles on it and vary your take off habbits and see if it gets any better.

my spec 3 still chatters a little if i take off wrong and i have 30kmiles and 150+hard launches on it once you get used to it you will never look back and youll love the clutch

its all about learning how to drive w/o the chatter. I can drive my car now w/o chatter, but if i ever revert to my habbits i formed while driving the ls6 clutch, it chatters like a ****.

Naw, that would be the TEXtralia OZ700

Since you have plenty of miles on it to be considered "broke in" I would do some clutch dumps and see if that helps any, that should take care of it. But also if your trying to slip it like the stocker it's not gonna be super smooth. You just drive performance clutches different.
