I pulled the top of the shifter apart from the base piece and I need to know where the little washer goes. Does it go on the top of the spring at the top of the shifter or on the bottom at the base? Thanks for your help.

put shifter to bottom of base and then washers inside liitle holder than put soriungs on you will see a spot for the springs on the back of that plate you took off.... thats funny becaus ei just did the same thinga bout 20 min ago
