Soft McLeod... Normal?
I've had my McLeod single in for about 1000 miles now. (full kit, PP, FD, and FW) It engages normally, but sometimes it seems to have a soft, almost stock feel to it. Xcept for the heavy pedal.
I know it's clamping, I've shifted hard into second a couple times and saw tire marks in my rearview. -She's holding. But I'm just wondering if it was normal for this clutch to be this soft. I expected more of a rough or sudded engaugment.
FYI, I've got the McLeod MC, Drill mod and a new 02 (casting 8) slave. I bench bleed the MC till it was rock hard. The pedal is fine, not a concern. Also a Built T56 Rebuilds trans.

Is it the kevlar organic disc?
They wont bite as hard as a metallic compounded clutch material disc will.
Even the twin wont as it is organic disc material as well. It gives it more street friendly manners & is easier on parts.

it's the dual faced disk. Kevlar and organic.
THat explains it then. It doesn't bit half as hard as I thought it would. When I romp on it and shift hard now, I'll leave treadmarks!... My old clutch was slipping anyway, so this is a nice change. except or a bit less traction..
