Thumbs down spec 5 clutch

i am very disappointed in my spec 5 clutch , i installed the clutch and new flywheel about 5 months ago and drove the car for about 500 miles for break-in, after that i took the car to the track and made 3 nitrous passes and 2 motor passes, the car is only driven on the weekends and the clutch maybe has 650 miles on it. i took the car out this weekend and played around at a local race spot that hooks pretty good, well i ran 4 times over the course of the night spraying every run. on the way to the house the clutch started slipping in every gear. the pedal pressure is fine and the clutch engaugement is still the same as before but it is slipping in every gear. i took it around the block the following morning and the car would barely move. this clutch has been the worst clutch i have had in the car, my spec 3 lasted 2 years of hard abuse and the only changes i have made have been a t-rex cam and more nitrous. anyone have a sugestion on a clutch that will support some heavy abuse other than a spec, cause i am spec'd out and very disappointed in there stage 5 clutch, i supported them until this point and have lead a few people to spec being i had such good luck with there stage 3. i really thought this clutch would hold up longer and better than this. i will be adding heads at the same time i add the new clutch or may go the th-400 route. any advice?

i really expected more from the stage 5 considering my stage 3 did so well thru so much abuse, my old combo went the times in the sig with the stage 3 clutch, i upgraded to a t-rex cam and hit it with more nitrous when i installed the spec 5 and it lasted no time.............9 passes with slicks, plus the break in and alittle cruising.

I definitely won't be buying a spec when it comes time to change my clutch out.

LMAO!!! J/J about Auto Zone clutch lol! I would go with a Centerforce DFX clutch for your set up! or a McCleod twin disc! They will hold the RWTQ that you are probably pushing
