Bent shifter fork, self install?
Well my car will not stay in third gear unless it is shoved which I believe is from a bent shifter fork, now money is real scarce and would like to get this done before I cause more problems. So my question to the pros out there is will I be able to handle this? I have never torn down a transmission before but have very extensive knowledge in these cars. Are there any special tools I would need? any tips would be greatly appreciated.

You will need a T40 torx bit, 15mm Socket, 5/6 Driven Gear Puller, Press and bearing splitter. You can get away without the press if you have a larger open ended piece of pipe. If you take your time you can do it. The biggest thing is getting the 5/6 gear off the mainshaft without damaging it. That is why you will need the gear puller.
