Default ram hd install

has anyone installed a ram hd clutch in there car. got mine today and there is something about a shim you might have to install?

If you use the ram powergrip pressureplate it should have came with a shim that goes behind the slave. I have a ram HD

Use the shim . I bought longer bolts than stock to make up the difference .

some peeps say u dont have to shim it.

i bought the ram HD and used the provided shim and has worked flawless so far...(only about 100 miles though)

i also had to buy some longer slave cylinder mounting bolts.

is that because of the shim moving it farther out ?

yeah get longer threads the thickness of the shim ,I have couple thousand miles on my hd with no problems
