slave line removal

Default slave line removal

I cant for the life of me get the braded slave line off. Iv pushed the white clips back ans it wont budge. The fitting will move in the gold housing but wont come out. Am I doin this right? Its a LS6 slave BTW

I actually just did it. Take two flat head screwdrivers(one on each side) and push the white part in towards the tranny with a little force and it will pop out. Hope this helps

If you don't have the tool its going to be difficult but you have to push the line in then push the white clip in then it will come out. You can modify a ford tool by grinding it down a little. Real local parts stores will have the ford tool. I have two.

so the line needs to be pushed in. I was on a time schedule and had to get the tranny out so I unbolted it from the tranny and took that to be rebuilt so its really hard to push aginst anything. But I know how to get it to work now, ill get someone to hold the slave while I remove the line.

I Just Did My Slave Today.. That Thing Is A Piece Of ****! I Went An Even Go The Hydraulic Slave Line Remover Tool. That Didnt Work So I Got My Hot Saw Out An Cut The ****** Off!

Yeah mine was missing the white piece so since I had a brand new slave I just used a hacksaw to cut the area around where the little metal ring is. Worked like a charm took about 5 minutes.

Guys try opening the bleeder valve to release the pressure, it will come right off then

I have relesed the presure. Iv tried it with the valve cracked iv tried it with the valve shut. But im not giving up, its gonna come off.

My problem wasnt pressure it was simply getting those metal fingers to push back so I could pull back on my fitting. Since mine was missing the white piece I simply cut it off.
