Default 5.0 vs factory ordered hurst

My car is equiped with a factory ordered hurst, who has changed their hurst for a 5.0 and if so did you like it better or worse?

You will like the Pro 5.0 a whole lot.

my factory hurst vibrated a lot and was really sloppy. the 5.0 stays put and is more comfortable to keep your hand on.

at first it was smooth as butter, but its getting progressivly notchy... dont know if the pro 5.0 is causing that or if i'm just due for a clutch bleed.

I had the fatory hurst and I always had to kinda do the actual shift pattern from 2-3 motion (move up, move right, move up). With the 5.0 its a simple, fast up motion and puts it in 3 pretty much for you. This has been my experience with it.

i don't know i've never driven with a 5.0 so i wouldn't know but i kind of like the hurst i think it is fairly solid when shifting, i do agree that it is quite notchy on fast/high rpm shifts but i never really have problems with 2-3. i always thought the notchyness was from the tranny.

Well we all get to have an opinion for free. I have driven both and prefer the Hurst on a daily driver. It is what I now have on my car. The 5.0 has an excessive load to pull from neutral to the 1/2 gate this becomes a pain in city driving. For a track car, I would say the 5.0 shines.

Best bet is to find someone that you know that has the pro 5.0 and drive theirs.

I prefer the b&m over them all. Pro 5.0 is angled toward the driver too much.

Pro 5.0 here and loving in! added a Speed Inc angled stick and am happy as can be. Can't go wrong with that combo. I can shift with more confidence when I'm really getting on it.

I ordered my car with the Hurst. Got a Pro 5.0 a few years ago and I didn't really like it. Sold it and went back to the Hurst. Like it that way.
