Tranny issues Im posting for a friend he has a 2000 trans am with a 6 spd for some reason his car pops out of 2 3 4gear all the tim its like it will go in then all the sudden out it comes and its making the noise like air in the transmission what could this be any help will be greatly appreciated

popping out of gear sounds like shifter forks are trashed. Did it run low on fluid ever? That takes them out quickly.
